"A sense of independence" Aesch Municipal Library relies on cloud accounting.

The Aesch Municipal and School Library has been doing its own bookkeeping for several years. For this purpose, they rely on CashCtrl.

The community and school library in the Basel area of Aesch is a popular social meeting place. Not only are there books, maps, DVDs and digital media of all kinds to borrow here, but events are also held regularly.

"A cookbook author presents her latest recipes, other times we organize a creative course or an afternoon of games for the little ones. We are a place of exchange and lingering," says staff member Regula Kneubühler. The "Biblio Aesch," as the institution is known in the village, has been around since 1984.

Cloud-based solution as an advantage

The trained commercial employee joined the team of six in 2013 and is responsible for financial accounting, among other things. For this purpose, she uses CashCtrl.

"At the time, I was looking for a suitable application for our small business after we decided to no longer outsource accounting. On the Internet, I found an article in which several programs were presented and compared with each other. That's how I got to know CashCtrl."

Biblio Aesch is organized as a non-profit association. Low costs are a basic principle - so more funds can be invested in the acquisition of new media.

Kneubühler was therefore interested in software that was both inexpensive and user-friendly, but which met professional criteria: After all, the library receives public funds and must be able to give a flawless account of its financial circumstances at all times.

"I tested various offers, and in the end we decided on CashCtrl. I was skeptical about the cloud-based solution at first, but I now appreciate the fact that I can access the system from anywhere."

Very satisfied with the support

According to Kneubühler, the deciding factor in favor of CashCtrl was the helpful support. Whenever she had questions, she always received a satisfactory answer quickly. "This made it possible for us to set up the program to meet our needs without getting gray hair. Since then, usage has been flawless."

Incoming and outgoing payments, the income from the daily cash register, the costs for wages and expenses: Kneubühler can make all of these entries independently in the Swiss business software with just a few mouse clicks.

She very much appreciates the independence she has gained with CashCtrl: "It was definitely the right decision to do the bookkeeping independently."
