1. Create CashCtrl API key
A new API user is created via Settings Users & Roles. Click on the dropdown next to the Add button and add API user.

Set up connection to donation management withCuora
Tutorial: The Cuora donation management software makes managing and thanking donations easy. The software has an interface to CashCtrl to transfer income and expenses directly.

2. Enter API key and subdomain in Cuora
Call up the settings in Cuora via the cogwheel. Call up the Global CashCtrl settings here.
- Name/Subdomain: The part in the browser before .cashctrl.com which identifies your database/organisation. In our case vereinderhonigbienen.cashctrl.com
- API key: The API key previously created in step 1 must be inserted here.
3. Allocation of the bank account in Cuora
The bank account is stored in the Account assignment area. The dropdown directly displays the accounts available in CashCtrl.
Important: A corresponding bank account from CashCtrl is set for each currency.
4. Storing the revenue accounts
For the four donation types (unallocated, project donation, sponsorship donation, campaign donation), the corresponding revenue account to be used by default is selected.
If projects or campaigns require different accounts, this can be adjusted individually for each project or campaign below.
5. Storing the expense accounts
A standard expense account is set for purposes of use. If a different account is required for certain purposes of use, this can be customised below for each purpose of use.
6. Optional: Map RaiseNow accounts
If the RaiseNow connection to Cuora is used, two additional CashCtrl accounts can be set: a separate debtor account and an account for RaiseNow account charges.
