Import articles and people

To start easily with the accounting software CashCtrl offers an importer for articles and persons. Your previous Excel address list does not have to be typed by hand, but is uploaded in no time. Mutations and duplicate entries are automatically detected and displayed.

If you have been afraid to type the address data of your customers or club members into an accounting software, we have a solution.
The data can be imported into CashCtrl as follows:

Excel file with address entries

1. Open import dialog

The import function is located in the People and Inventory module in the drop-down menu next to the "Add" field.

2. Import contacts

The desired file is dragged and dropped or selected from the File Manager. Excel, CSV and VCF files are supported.

Select whether only new contacts should be imported, existing ones adjusted or both. If necessary, select the category in which the contacts will be saved.

Confirm with Next

3. Assign fields

In the second dialog the columns from the file are assigned to the fields in CashCtrl. The software assigns the values (entries from the file) already as good as possible. In the middle in gray the data is displayed.

Go through the list and select the appropriate fields in CashCtrl.

It is partly possible to assign several columns to one field (e.g. notes). The columns are then imported one below the other, each with a blank line.

4. Assign additional fields

If CashCtrl PRO is used, additional fields can also be used. Either the already created fields are assigned or new ones are created directly.

5. Execute import

Before the import is executed, CashCtrl shows an overview of the contacts. CashCtrl distinguishes between contacts that are added or supplemented and displays the number at the bottom right. In this import all contacts are new, because it is a new organization that has no entries yet.

6. You did it

The contacts are imported - you can now go ahead and create your first invoice/document.
