If you want to discover the shortest hour of your life in a world of mystery, hiding and adventure, the best place to go is Elsässerstrasse 93 in Basel. This is the address where the founders of Sherlock GmbH created the popular "Room Escape" game concept. One hour per game unit is available to the participants to solve a mysterious task together in spectacular settings.

"Our customers include families, tourists and private groups, as well as numerous companies that use the entertainment value of our offer for events and teambuilding," says 34-year-old Felix Erzinger, co-owner of Sherlock GmbH and an engineering graduate of ETH Zurich.

Room Escape focuses on quality

The still young company - founded by two innovative minds - now has around 20 employees and focuses on the highest quality standards. "We want to stand out clearly from the competition as a premium service provider with sophisticated technology and special effects," says Erzinger.

In order to have efficient processes in the back office, the company also depends on uncomplicated accounting software. In this respect, Sherlock GmbH has relied on CashCtrl from the very beginning.

"Back then we looked at the various online products and discovered CashCtrl on the federal SME portal. The super-simple operation and the fact that the software is cloud-based and we can access it from anywhere immediately convinced us", says Erzinger.

Simple operation, good support

"Three clicks, and the desired invoice receipt is available to me as a PDF," he points out as a positive example. The "Room Escape" operator also appreciates the good support service: if a problem arises or a question is asked, he always receives fast and friendly information.  

In view of the wide range of applications, the annual user fee of CHF 290 for the PRO version represents a very fair price-performance ratio. For Felix Erzinger, one thing is certain: "CashCtrl is the ideal solution, especially for start-ups".

But he also recommended the accounting software to his brother: who is a member of a judo club and is responsible for the finances.
